The split level home is like The Brady Bunch house, with a low-pitched roof, a family room, wall cladding, Colonial details, a mid-level wing, and upper level bedrooms.

The horizontal line is the straight line on the housing. A low-pitched roof is a low registered roof. Overhanging eaves are eaves that hang that you could turn over. Upper level bedrooms are bedrooms at the top level of the house. The service area is a place where you can get help. Cladding is the act or process of bonding one metal to another. A facade is the front of a building.

The style came from the ranch house. In our country this style was popular from 1955 through 1975. This style fit the time period because they liked to have separate rooms. They liked a lower floor, commonly called a quiet room. They also liked the upper-level bedrooms.
