COLOMBIA

Colombia's flag was adopted in 1861. Like the flags of Venezuela and Ecuador, it is derived from the colors flown by freedom fighters when the Spanish ruled South America. The Colombian flag is yellow, blue and red. Yellow represents the earth or the land. Blue stands for the sea or water and red stands for the blood that it took to win freedom from Spain. There were not any major changes in the flag since it was first flown.

I made my flag on my computer using the program called Paint. I split the picture in half and painted the top yellow. Then I split the bottom half into two parts and painted the middle section blue and the bottom section red.
