Please note: MIDTEL NET will NEVER request your password or personal information in email!Phishing is a fraudulent attempt to gather sensitive information about you or your account. MIDTEL NET will never ask you for sensitive information in email, including your password, social security number and/or credit card number. Phishing attempts are getting more frequent and sophisticated, and they are affecting everyone on the internet. Phishers hope that a few customers will reply with their email account and password so they can use that account to send out thousands of spams, or unsolicited bulk messages.
If this happens, the compromised account will be disabled and the password will be changed.
This is to prevent MIDTEL NET's network and mail servers from being blocked by providers like
Hotmail, Yahoo, Roadrunner and AOL. What can we all do?
