I want to be careful about not stepping on the toes of
anyone leading a trip. Any trip listed here assumes that anyone of appropriate skill level for the trip will be welcome. Keep in mind that anyone organizing or leading a trip reserves the right to decline the company of any paddler for any reason (reasonable or not.) Also, club policies supercede anything I might suggest here. I try to keep the listing of trips informal, but safety is always the first and foremost concern. If you have any questions, I'll try to answer them.

ADK Trips: I've listed the Schenectady ADK trips with the river, section, and
leader. These trips are typically open boat trips of relatively long
distances. Playing and surfing may not always fit in with the pace of the
other trip members, but the trips are always fun. If you're interested in
joining the ADK, contact Chuck Wilkison at 793-8041. For Leader's Choice trips,
check the ADK schedule in the links section. |
NOTES for schedule:
-weekday releases of Penobscot and Kennebec are not listed
-sources of dates comes from North American Whitewater and
Zoar Gap (Fife)oar Outdoor. This means that trips are being run during
those days, but additional dates may exist not listed here.
-Deerfield releases should be checked via flo-fone to check
for changes to schedule 1-888-356-3663.

On-going Events:
RPI Pool Hours: 8pm to 11pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the '87 Gym. Any boats you bring (which are optional) should be rinsed off before putting them in the pool. Bring your bathing suit. Please respect the ROC's rules. Some weeks won't have pool sessions because of school scheduling, so check before driving to Troy for nothing.
