This book documents, through many examples, how I learned, through will and determination, to turn a life filled with hardship, discouragement, insecurity and numerous failures, eventually into a successful career. I believe I just might be able to help you turn some problems you might have into opportunities through the many true examples I use throughout this book. All these examples are from my life experiences, some of which were very good and some very bad.
I believe that part of my determination to be successful is genetics, so I want to introduce you to my family.
My grandfather's brother was the developer of the shutter camera. Prior to his invention shutters on cameras were closed by pressing a small hand bulb. His invention back then made the closing of the shutter automatic by the use of gears and levers. It was patented and provided work for thousands of people in the Rochester area. All cameras today, including the digital camera, still have that point and click shutter where you use your index finger and press the button.
