The Iroquois celebrate the gifts of creation through a calendar of ceremonies which follow the changes of the seasons and the ripening of crops. These ceremonies are celebrated in the Longhouse. Although the sequence of the ceremonies may vary among longhouses, the annual cycle typically includes the following:

SUN DANCE (May) - Give thanks to the Sun |

GREEN BEAN DANCE (July) - Wainodetgowaso - Give thanks for the 1st of the Three Sisters |

GREEN CORN DANCE (Aug-Sept) - Honondekwes - Give thanks for the ripening of Corn & Squash. |
