home. The word modular has to do with a standard basic dimension for the construction of
houses. All the different pieces then can fit together in different ways to form an
enormous variety of different little structures. A prefab is
factory made. It also has a basic dimension. It's a basic extension in one direction. It
came from Israel and was revealed at the 1968 Montreal Exposition.
The time period in which it was popular was 1968 to now. They chose
this style because it was selling at a reasonable price. It was a nice comfortable home
for people to live in. |
