The Trailer houses are designed and built like conventional houses. They're made with conventional wood-siding walls, asphalt shingle roofs, conventional windows, and doors, and virtually everything inside conforms with standard home building practices. They are also located on permanent foundations.

They have conventional doors and windows. That means they are everyday doors and windows that people use. They also have wood siding walls. That means the outside of the trailers is made of wood. Another detail is an asphalt shingle roof. An asphalt shingle roof is a waterproof roof. Standard building inside is also a detail. Everything inside is like a regular home. The house has a permanent foundation. It keeps the floor from moving and makes the house stay in its place.

The trailers came from the United States of America. The time period trailers were popular was from 1940 to the present.

Contemporary folk houses, like those of the past, reflect the continuing need for basic, economical shelter without concern for fashionable stylistic design or detailing. That's why it fit in that time period.
